Several years ago I became frustrated with my inability to predict how much money I would have or how much money I could invest in things like the kid's college fund, a Roth IRA, or put aside for a new car. I needed a budget, an understanding of potential gains vs risk in the market, and what kind of emergency fund I needed. After doing some research I made several calculators in excel and then Google Docs (so I could share with my wife.
Several friends expressed interest in these so I decided to re-write them into a generic format and share them. This page will grow as I modify and add new calculators. I will also add some videos on how I make these and how to properly use them.
If you would like to see some calculators, either stand-alone or added to some of the master calculators, please let me know.

Roth IRA calculator
I uploaded a Roth IRA calculator to the website. I consider this still in Beta as I continue to tweak it, but it serves the basic purpose.
I put this together to help a family member understand the compounding effect of saving now versus later. The tool will automatically generate a table out to the point when you can withdraw money based on your birthday. Give it a try.
